Another Post from Point Photography

I was out shooting the SISNA Mountain Bike Series on Wednesday in 98 degrees. Shooting in this heat was bad enough, I can’t imagine what it was like to ride in. It was hot and dusty, not the best conditions for shooting in. Despite all that… the riders looked to be into it, and I was having fun as well.

Doug Kruppleman (311) led the guys with a time of 34:02 over the 9.12 mile course, Emma Millar (310) sprinted in with a 40:22 to lead the gals.

For many it was their first organized ride and like Mitchell Marjoram (301), a visiting 10-year old from Alberta, Canada, he was riding his bew “big” bike!

Young kids of all ages chased down Greg Smith, the kid’s ride coordinator, and one of the top finishers. They were led out on their own loop and congratulated for great efforts with free prizes as proud parents took pictures and watered down the little mountain bikers.

Hundreds of dollars worth of raffle prizes were handed over to the noursihed crowd. Brad Williams walked away with the big evening prize, a Shiamo XT deraileur.
